The Big Walk peg puzzle is a cross-island retrieval challenge. Read the examples on the target board, find matching gesture, drawn-symbol and sound pegs at earlier puzzle structures, then carry those exact pieces back to fill the board.
Identify what each peg represents
Do not treat every peg as a geometric picture tile. Community solutions describe multiple clue families, including a body gesture, a hand-drawn mark, a dot pattern and a sound peg associated with a speaker. Record each requested example before leaving so the group does not return with a similar but incorrect piece.
The world version selected by the host can change puzzle details. A fixed screenshot from another group may therefore show a different gesture or symbol. Match the visual or audio language in your own session rather than copying someone else's final set.
Search completed challenges, not the ground
The pegs are selectable parts of other puzzle structures. Revisit challenges that presented the same type of clue: pose puzzles for gesture pegs, dense symbol boards for hand-drawn marks, and speaker puzzles for sound. The target puzzle is testing whether the group remembers how those earlier interfaces worked.
One reported symbol source is in a red building near the Blue Tower and coast. Its front has yellow rotating entrances that remove carried gear, but side doors can provide access after the associated challenge is solved. A reported sound source is west-northwest of Yellow Tower near the beach, where a completed speaker puzzle allows players to select the matching audio peg.
Move pieces without losing them
Assign one carrier per peg and one player to remain at the target. If a route passes through an entrance that strips equipment, scout a side entrance before committing the carried clue. Backpacks and travel unlocks can reduce the risk, but the essential method is simply to keep the carrier's route visible and avoid unnecessary puzzle interiors.
Trains, chairlifts and tunnels become useful as tower progression expands. If the search requires repeated cross-island walking, complete the relevant tower first and return with faster travel available. The peg board does not need to be the next objective merely because the group found it.
Match sound pegs by listening
A speaker icon is not enough to identify the correct sound peg. Play the target sound, revisit a challenge that lets the group cycle audio pieces, and compare the actual recording. Carry the matching speaker peg back once the sound is confirmed.
Use in-game chat when the carrier and target player are separated. Text chat remains valid for players without microphones and follows the same distance and walkie-talkie rules, according to the official FAQ.
Peg puzzle checklist
- 01
Record the target examples
Describe every gesture, symbol, dot pattern and sound in your current world.
- 02
Match each clue to a puzzle family
Search completed challenges that used the same interaction language.
- 03
Take the selectable peg
Carry the clue component itself rather than the normal red tower reward.
- 04
Return through safe routes
Avoid gear-stripping entrances and use opened travel systems for long transfers.
