The Big Walk music puzzle is solved by listening to the track played through the puzzle chair, finding the same track among your unlocked portable radio channels, and sending a teammate to that station's reward box while another player holds the puzzle button.
Find the headphone chair
Community route notes place the headphone challenge on a green platform east of the Blue Tower. The structure has a chair with headphones and a nearby control button. Sitting in the chair plays the reference audio the group must identify.
Before walking away, listen long enough to remember the rhythm and texture rather than trying to name the song. Big Walk's music is diegetic and the relevant comparison happens through objects in the world. A portable speaker or radio makes repeated matching much faster.
Match the track to a radio channel
Cycle through the radio channels your group has already unlocked and compare each one with the chair audio. The correct channel plays the same track as the reference. If no channel matches, the likely problem is progression: the required station has not been activated yet.
This is why the puzzle can feel impossible when discovered early. Radio channels become available through station discoveries around the island, and an unavailable channel cannot be selected on the portable set. Mark the chair location, continue exploring, and return after the group has expanded the radio list.
Travel to the matching station
Once the audio match is confirmed, identify the world location associated with that radio channel. Send one player to the reward container at that station and leave another at the headphone chair. Carry walkie-talkies because the two endpoints are too far apart for ordinary proximity voice.
The station-side player should stand ready before the chair-side player presses and holds the button. When the remote container opens, collect the reward and confirm the pickup before releasing the control. If the box closes too quickly, reset positions and repeat the timing rather than restarting the entire search.
Why an external voice call spoils the mechanic
House House states that distance, walls and in-game communication objects are part of Big Walk's puzzle design. Discord or an outside call bypasses those restrictions and removes the reason the radio matters. The built-in text system is a supported alternative because it follows the same range rules as voice and works through walkie-talkies.
Agree on a short sequence before separating: “ready,” “hold,” “collected,” and “release” are enough. Long explanations are more likely to be clipped by range or radio handling at the exact moment the reward opens.
Quick solution

Hear the chair track
Sit at the green-platform headphones and memorize the reference sound.
- 02
Check unlocked channels
Cycle the portable radio until its music matches the chair.
- 03
Find that station
Send one teammate to the matching channel's remote reward container.
- 04
Hold and collect
Keep the chair-side button pressed until the station-side player confirms the pickup.
